Mello

Mello aka Livewire aka Masia was born and raised in the Taft projects in Harlem New York and has been rhyming and performing since the age of 15. However, it wasn’t until 1997 when Mello moved to Virginia did things really begin. Mello put together a group named Gun Show, along with his ace boon Bo Jackson. The group was very popular during this stretch making a variety of news publications including the popular Daily Press news paper in Newport News.

After a 10 year stretch of doing numerous local events through out the seven city area, Mello realized he might have reached his peek as far as opportunities in Virginia go. With his cousin Every Day producing records and indie film projects and on a monster grind back home in New York mello decided it was time to come back home. Mello has since signed to Every Day’s imprint Past Life Entertainment and is currently making cameos in all of Everythang Green film projects. When asked Every Day had this to say about his new signee. “People may think I signed Mello just because he’s related to me when in fact I’m much harder on him and I have even greater expectations of him because he is my blood. The fact of the matter is Mello continues to impresses me with his tireless work ethic. Mello is rawness refined point blank. He’s that pure dope on the block that everybody seems to come back for”.

With multiple appearances in the upcoming Everythang Green film Don’t Blink playing himself, as well as his LP Unofficial Business dropping in 2010 with Past Life Recordings featuring Sir Doug, Lady Scars and Every Day, his future looks very bright.
